Today, our team had the opportunity to attend Counsellor Day at the US College Expo—an invaluable networking event that brings together admissions representatives from U.S. colleges and universities, along with guidance counsellors and educators from across the Greater Toronto Area.
The day was centered around meaningful conversations and collaboration. We connected directly with admissions officers to gain updated insights into the evolving U.S. college admissions landscape, including timelines, recruiting priorities, and opportunities for Canadian student-athletes. Events like this are designed to strengthen the knowledge and resources available to those guiding students through the U.S. pathway.
Equally important was the chance to engage with guidance counsellors and partners throughout the GTA. Sharing experiences, challenges, and strategies allows us to continue refining how we support our student-athletes and their families throughout the recruiting journey.
Tomorrow, we’re excited for the public-facing US College Expo, taking place at Roy Thomson Hall. This event provides families with a unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with U.S. college representatives, explore potential pathways, and better understand everything from admissions and scholarships to athletic opportunities and career outcomes.
If you’re a student-athlete or family considering the U.S. college route, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
At Elite Sports & Education, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of the recruiting landscape—building relationships, gathering insights, and creating opportunities that help our student-athletes find the right fit at the next level.
